Strathbogie Shire Council is proud of how our community has stood up to the ongoing challenges of coronavirus to help keep each other safe.
We’ve been champions with physical distancing, face masks, hand sanitisation, constant signing in with QR codes, staying at home during lockdowns, and booking in COVID vaccinations when eligible.
To help overcome feelings of isolation and loneliness in the early days of the pandemic in 2020, Council launched The Strathbogie Story.
The project linked our community via video storytelling, sharing local children’s story books, and helping many connect to loved ones outside our region via our free Strathbogie Story postcards.
The Strathbogie Story now looks to the future, continuing to meet our talented, inspiring people and sharing why we are a must-visit tourism destination!
The Rock Your Senses in Strathbogie Shire podcasts give unique insight into our incredible tourism-based offerings, from great food and wine to picturesque tracks and trails.
Strathbogie Shire Council partnered with podcast producers Storytowns who provide travelling tourists with an interactive geo-located podcast tour.
Storytowns meets local ‘rockstar’ identities in the seven to 10-minute podcasts for each town in Strathbogie Shire – Avenel, Longwood, Euroa, Strathbogie, Nagambie, Violet Town and Ruffy – plus a podcast about Strathbogie Shire’s many tracks and trails.
Head to our Storytowns page to listen to these awesome podcasts with local ‘rockstars’ of varied crafts on why their town rocks as a tourist destination.
Welcome to The Strathbogie Story!
